Reading is key to understanding a language, but sometimes it can be hard to keep up. Don’t worry, though—there are some cool tricks to make reading easier and more fun!

Try these reading activities:

1.Skimming and Scanning: Quickly read through a text for main idea (skimming) or specific Info(scanning).

2.Reading for Details: After reading, answer questions that dive deeper into the text.

3•Summarizing: Have students retell the story or article in their own words.

Teaching Tips:

1•Predicting: Ask students to guess what a story will be about based on the title or images.

2•Context Clues: Teach them how to guess the meaning of new words by looking at the rest of the text.

3•Post-reading Discussion: Get them talking about what they read. It helps cement the information.

Activity Idea: After reading a short story, ask students to answer questions about what happened and why.
